Is God a hypocrite? – Part 1
Is God a hypocrite?
Oh, what kind of a question is that…?
But Christians do teach that way…
In Matthew, Peter asking Jesus, how many times should he forgive brother or sister, upto to seven times?
Peter had listen to Jesus say in Luke 17:3-4. So he is repeating it.
Now, Jesus in pushing boundaries, seventy times seven.
Meaning, there is no count. Forgive and forgive.
Oh well, every Christian says. God is expecting us to forgive others.
But the same Christian some how thinks, God doesn’t follow what He preaches.
If HE is asking you to forgive brothers and sisters seventy times seven, doesn’t HE forgive you atleast that many times?
Do you think HE is a hypocrite?
There is only one qualification for forgiveness in the statement, watch closely
“Even if they sin against you seven times a day and seven times come back to you saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”
Only one qualification, that they repent.
So if God would follow what HE is preaching and I know HE is not a hypocrite, HE will forgive when you repent, no matter how many times.
Don’t you think, if Jesus is expecting you do, that HE will do the same? Do you think, HE is a hypocrite?
I know your brain goes wild, you are struggling in your mind. That is good. Now you are thinking.
A question should come in your mind?
“Do you know James Bond has ‘ License to kill.’ Are you saying Christians have ‘License to sin.’ ?
Repent now that you are still in flesh. But your question is not new. The same question was asked to Paul.
Do you want to see the question?
Turn to Galatians.
Galatians 2:17 King James Version (KJV)
we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
Now turn to Romans 5
Romans 5:20 King James Version (KJV)
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
Romans 6:1 King James Version (KJV)
6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
See the question. The question you are asking is not new.
If you teach grace, this question will arise among those who are carnal.
Let the Bible answer your question.
We read further in Romans 6.
Romans 6:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
He answers the question with a question.
Read further children, Romans 6, talks about walking in the Spirit. Galatians 4 talks about it.
Answer is walking in Spirit and being dead to sin. Read Hate your own life.
Only one thing Psalm 37:4
If you have any doubt on this. Read Romans, Galatians again and again.
I love the book of Galatians. Paul goes back and forth on arguement in both these books. Love it.
Be blessed my children.
