A caveat: It is me writing this and not by Holy Spirit. And I pray Holy Spirit would take over, and show me what to write.
Risky investor
Why you should be a risky investor?
Both financially and spiritually.
I will start with the heart. What does a risky investment look like?
Look no further. Look at the Cross. Jesus is with arms wide open nailed to the cross. That is a risky investment by God. He did it knowing fully well that the multitude will reject Him. Yet that investment has ROI eternally. Jesus made that risky investment.
Love is a risky investment.
When someone has opened up their arms, it is a vulnerable position. It is easy to stab them.
Love opens up, taking that risk. As imitators of God’s love, make risky investments of Love.
“But” your heart screams. I hear you, use diligence, wear the breastplate of righteousness and have the shield of faith.
Now open up, not because you have an emotion high, but because God led you. If you are led by the flesh, then don’t do it. Sit under JESUS feet till HE says to you to go.
Being in love is risky. Yet the ROI is immense.
Now onto financials, earthy stuff.
Why be a Risky investor?
Most people are afraid of old age and want to play it safe for old age.
Let me ask you, how many years is old age?
Let’s assume the average life span is 85.The retirement age in most countries is 65. And on average people are active till 65. So old age is 20 years.
How much of the total lifespan are 20 years?
20/85*100 = 23.529%
Let’s round it off to 23.5%
So why would someone live 75% of their life in fear of 23.5%?
Why would children of God have fear?
Nope.
I am not talking about blindly doing stuff but using diligence.
Have 30 to 50% of your investments conservative.
But be risky with rest. Have a life to the fullest. By risky I mean educated risky. Let God guide you. Live to full. Put aside fear. Perfect Love cast out fear.
Invest love and Invest money. Open your arms with the breastplate of righteous.
I would finish with a serenity prayer. I will paraphrase it.
“ Father teach me to change things that I can change, and teach me not to be concerned about things that I don’t have to change. Most of all gives me wisdom, to distinguish the two”
