What we have? – Part 2
Do you belong to the kingdom of God?
Yes…
Good. Was Moses a powerful man of God?
Yes. Was Moses born of a woman?
Ofcourse yes!
Jesus, says of all born of women, there is none (no one) greater than John the Baptist.
I pick Moses, everyone knows Moses. So Jesus is saying John the Baptist is greater than Moses.
There is one more thing to learn here.
Let’s compare the lives of John the Baptist and Moses.
Who had more cloud? Moses did mighty works through the power of God. He had huge following. Was a leader.
John did not do any miracles and did not have cloud of leadership. Wore camel hair and lived in desert.
Yet Jesus calls John the Baptist as greater than Moses.
We measures success and greatness by the cloud of impact and number of followers. That is the world system.
God seems to value success in a different way. According to the world Moses is greater guy, did great things, brought a nation our of slavery through might works of God.
Yet John a humble guy who ate locusts calling and baptizing in desert is greater?
That is the difference in the kingdom of God.
Now wait a minute.
John is greater than Moses. There is someone greater than John. Who is it?
You.
I asked you at the beginning. Do you belong to the kingdom of God?
And if you believe Jesus is the only way and that He died for your sins and rose again. You belong to the kingdom of God.
Now the least in the kingdom of God is greater than John.
So you are greater than John. John is greater than Moses. So you are far greater than Moses.
Do you find it difficult to grasp? How can it be?
Correct your idea of greatness. And wait for tomorrow part 3. We will read a Scripture that explains how, that you have is greater than Moses.
Praise be unto my Lord Jesus Christ.
Be blessed
Amen.
