What do you pray?
What do you pray?
How do you pray?
“Father, aunt Susan is suffering from pain in her neck. Father heal her, we pray in Jesus Name.”
Does it sound familiar?
Let’s push a lit further.
(As I was medicating on the Word, this shook me too. Father I stand in You.)
Most of you travel. Imagine, you are traveling on a airplane. Suddenly, the plane hits turbulence. You hear a message from pilot. Wear your seat belts and oxygen masks. Now the plane starts to shake. How would you pray now?
“Father, help us, the flight is shaking, is caught in a storm. Save us. Jesus.”
You and your sorry prayer.
Where is your faith?
You might be wondering, how can I say that.
You might be thinking, ” Should we not be praying for aunt susan or in the flight?Don’t you have empathy?”
Do not ask me that question. Do not ask me.
Ask Jesus.
Matthew 8:26, Mark 4:40, Luke 8:25
The disciples are on boat caught in a storm. They run to Jesus, said the same thing like many Christian pray. “Master, master, we perish, save us”
And how does Jesus respond, “Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith?”
That is a rebuke to the disciples. What did they do wrong? They prayed to Jesus. They ran to Jesus, their master and asked Him to save them. What was wrong about it? Why did Jesus say, that they had little faith? Why did He ask, “where is your faith?”
What did the disciples do wrong?
