Servant Leader
Servant Leader
Father, as i speak and write, You speak through me Father. I know this is Your will and You have created me for this. Your wisdom be on and in these words Father. Let the hearer be sanctified, their eyes be open into Your reality. Thank you Jesus.
I was reading through Joshua. I came to Joshua chapter 3. I have read it many times. When I read verse, something stood out. I paused.
Read it with me.
Joshua 3:7 King James Version (KJV)
7 And the Lord said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.
LORD says HE will magnify, exalt Joshua in the sight of Isreal.
I had a question.
Why has Joshua magnified?
Is anything special about him?
Ofcourse, he is one of the two, who brought the good report and a faithful servant to Moses.
Is it because of that, that he is magnified?
I felt, It can not be. He chose to be choosen, blessing does flow in the position. But that can not be reason for his magnification.
He was magnified in the sight of Isreal, for only one reason.
To bring the people of Isreal to the promised land.
Deuteronomy 31:7-8 King James Version (KJV)
7 And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the Lord hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
8 And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
He was not magnified for his sake, but for the sake of people.
His purpose gave him the position of annointing.
Again, I repeat, it is his purpose that gave him the position of annointing.
The annointing upon you is always for others, to equip you to serve others.
You are a made a leader, to serve.
I want to share a very personal thing. Before that we see more Scriptures, that we see this.
1 Kings 3:8-9 New International Version (NIV)
8 Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. 9 So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”
Did you see that?
How did Salmon pray, he asks for wisdom to govern LORD’s people. The wisdom was upon him to govern LORD’s people, not for himself.
John 13:12-15 King James Version (KJV)
12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
Here is my personal thing. Last week, I woke up and I felt low. I see this again and again, the people I come in connection with, people who let me speak into the lives and the people who ask me to pray, they get blessed the flourish and grow beyond me. As much as I am happy and I had this question, why LORD, the people get blessed through me, where is my blessing?
I felt it that day, where is my blesssing LORD?
Early morning, the day is still quiet, He said, “I am your Portion and your greatest Reward”. I remember from Genesis, when HE spoke to Abraham, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”
I remembered that, could now talk back to HIM, saying, LORD, do you know I have a bank account too, bills to pay and i have desires too? Can I say that to HIM? Nope, I kept quiet.
LORD, is my Portion, my great Reward. The annointing that is upon me is for you, my children.
Love you my children, be blessed. Know that
Your purpose positions you for annointing.
Greatest among is the servant. Serve first.
Be blessed my children.
