Let me tell you a story. Once I was in my study and my daughter was playing outside with her friends. I was a bit hungry (as always, it happens when I read😁)

I went to fridge, saw an apple. I was wondering if I should eat it or not. I had said to myself not to snack in between meals.

So I closed the fridge door, I was standing in the kitchen, wondering, if I should eat the apple or not.

I heard the main door slam open, it was my daughter, she came running in the middle of their game. She showed me a face, 😀 she ran to the fridge, she grabbed the apple, had a bite and ran outside to share with her friends.

I was still standing there in kitchen looking at what just happened.

She came, she took, she went.

Was I disappointed, was I angry?

Nooo. Not at all. I was more happy, than if I had eaten the apple. I was more happy to see her eat and share with her friends.

Imagine that, when you were a child, you did that, you came home from school and you grabbed what was available. No questions, no nothing.

You came, you took, you went.

Mark 11:24 NIV

24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Do you see the word ‘received’ ?

Let us examine the word in Greek. It will change the prespective of what we understand.

Original Word: λαμβάνω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: lambanó
Phonetic Spelling: (lam-ban’-o)

Now to the meaning of the word.

Strong’s concordance

from the primitive root, lab-, meaning

actively lay hold of to take or receive,”

see NAS dictionary) – properly, to lay hold by aggressively (actively

accepting what is available (offered).

What does the word mean?

To take hold of, to take.

So now, if we read Mark 11:24, with new understanding,

When we pray, we believe and we take it.

Just like the daugter came, took the apple and she went. I enter heaven, I take that i want, and i leave.

Heaven is my home. So i walk in, i take, i come. So are you. We are children of God, we walk in to heaven, we take, we go.

Walk in to heaven, brust into heaven like the daughter slam opening the house, How?

Hebrew 4:16 NKJV

16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

I walk to the throne of grace with boldness, because it is my home, your home. I take hold of that is mine and I go.

“vanthan, etutan, ponnan, repetu,
vanthan, etutan, ponnan, repetu”

You go, you take, you go, repeat.

And my DADDY is happy about it.
