Full of light

Luke 11:34

I usually do not write unless I have been sitting on the verse for many years and have experienced the verse.

Here is a verse, I am sharing as I read. It is mindblowing, I am sharing.

2017, somewhere December, I am at McFit, doing my gym. Usually i listen to sermons as i do my fitness.

I see it has 2 in 1. My body and my mind are strengthened same time. 🙂

So as I was listening to Bill Johnson. He was talking on Matthew 6. cares of this world.

Before we turn to Matthew 6. Let us read Luke 11:34 again

Luke 11:34 King James Version (KJV)

34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

What is the opposite of single?

Multiple.

See, Jesus uses the word evil as opposite of single. He is calling multiple vision as evil.

Hold that thought. Let’s jump to Matthew 6, where Jesus talks about the cares of this world.

Matthew 6:25 King James Version (KJV)

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.

Did you see the word ‘thought’ in this verse.

The Greek word is

Original: μεριμνάω
Transliteration: merimnaō
Phonetic: mer-im-nah’-o

This word is also translated as anxious in Philippians 4:6

When you read the root of this word.

Original: μερίζω
Transliteration: merizō
Phonetic: mer-id’-zo

Thayer Definition:
to divide

The meaning of this word is to divide.

Anxious mind is divided mind.

Now Jesus said if your eye is single, you body is full of light.

Do you really get the picture. I am so excited.

Jesus is saying keep you eyes single on the Kingdom of God.

So what thoughts can you have?

Let’s read,

Philippians 4:6-8 New International Version (NIV)

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

You can also read the verse, do not be divided(in mind) about anything, be singular in thinking on what is pure, what is just, what is praiseworthy.

There is only one who is praiseworthy. Jesus Christ, my God, my LORD.

As I said, I am still learning and excited on this verse. Father show me, teach me Father.
