Psalms 78:41
1 Samuel 17:34-35 English Standard Version (ESV)

34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, 35 I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him.

David and Goliath. Everyone talks about the great spectacular victory of David on Goliath.

What is the reasoning David gives?

He being faithful in the little. When no one was watching.

He was tending his father’s sheep. If a lion or bear took a lamb, will the the father of David, would punish him? Do you think, the lamb was worthy for Jesse, father, more than David.

Why did David risk his life when no one was watching him?

His victories in secret when no one was watching, his faithfulness in the little, enables to be faithful in bigger.

People see big achievements and forget the small victories in secret that no one will talk about.

Are you the person, walking in love, joy, peace, patience, kind in secret when no one is around?

Are you faithful in the little? Are you faithful to the thing that is given in your hand? Are you faithful in keeping the small lamb?

Be the person, whom God created you to be…

Be in HIS will…

Amen. Jesus is LORD. The Only way to salvation.
